Chaos and mismanagement mar Atif Aslam concert in Karachi | Pakistan Today

A recent concert by acclaimed artist Atif Aslam, held at Karachi's Moin Khan Academy on November 1, 2025, and organized by Prism Events and Tours, has drawn significant criticism. The event, which also featured acts like Asfar and the band Bayaan, swiftly sparked widespread discussion on social media platforms, primarily due to the considerable disarray and poor management reported by attendees.

Concertgoers widely reported extensive delays, with many enduring hours in lengthy queues simply to gain entry, and some were even unable to access the venue at all. Reports of severe overcrowding, inadequate crowd management, and chaotic logistical arrangements were prevalent. Furthermore, a number of attendees vocalized their dissatisfaction regarding the discourteous conduct of the event staff.

Illustrating the issues, one individual recounted their experience on Instagram:“We arrived before 7 pm, but it took us 1.5 to 2 hours just to get near the gate. The event was poorly organized, with no clear guidance, volunteers, or proper barriers to manage the crowd.”

Another social media user further elaborated on the problems, stating:“There was no proper queue system, no distinction between VIPs, influencers, and regular ticket holders. We had been in line since 6:30 pm but only got in at 8. Many people ahead of us entered without tickets.”

However, amidst the critical feedback, some concertgoers offered a defense of the event organizers, attributing the confusion to an exceptionally large influx of attendees who arrived after the designated gate closure time. One attendee commented:“We arrived at 5:30 pm, and the entry was smooth and orderly. The gates were clearly stated to close at 7 pm, so if others arrived late, that wasn’t the fault of the management.”

The overall chaotic environment and the volume of complaints underscore a critical need for enhanced organizational planning and effective crowd control strategies at future public events of this scale.

Netizens further documented the event by sharing various video clips from the concert online.
