Federal Ministry of IT Launches AI-Based Career Counseling Portal: BizTalk

In a pivotal move to empower the nation's youth, the Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication, Syed Amin Ul Haque, officially inaugurated the artificial intelligence-based career counseling portal,BizTalk, on Thursday.

The launch ceremony, held in the committee room of the Ministry of IT, was attended by Additional Secretary Aisha Humera Moriani alongside other senior officers from the Ministry.

Bridging the Career Guidance Gap for Pakistan's Youth

Minister Amin Ul Haque underscored a significant challenge during the inauguration, noting that "Young people choosing the IT field often do not know which field is beneficial for them." He emphasized that the new portal is designed to streamline career decisions and enhance employment opportunities for young individuals.

TheBizTalkportal will facilitate career counseling through advanced artificial intelligence, a capability developed in collaboration with Botnostic Solutions.

With two-thirds of Pakistan's population comprising individuals under 30, this youthful demographic represents a crucial national asset, holding immense potential to contribute significantly to the global technology landscape. However, comprehensive guidance is frequently unavailable; career counselors are scarce in urban areas and virtually non-existent in rural regions, highlighting the pressing need for accessible advisory services.

Minister Amin Ul Haque confirmed that this initiative, spearheaded by the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB)—an institution under the Ministry of IT—is a vital step in addressing this critical guidance deficit.

Vision for ICT Growth and Economic Prosperity

Articulating an ambitious national vision, Minister Haque stated, "We strive for Pakistan to get a fair share of the global ICT industry worth trillions of dollars. This dream will be fulfilled only when we can guide our youth in the right direction."

Beyond individual empowerment, the portal is also expected to benefit the industry by enabling both local and international IT firms to identify and recruit suitable candidates. The Minister also outlined an aggressive export target: "Pakistan’s IT export is two and a half billion dollars; we have to reach the target of at least $15 billion."

To achieve this ambitious goal, the ministry is actively engaged in extending broadband services and providing freelancing training nationwide. Minister Haque reiterated the transformative power of the IT sector, remarking, "The IT industry has the potential to clear Pakistan’s entire debt and stabilize the economy."

He concluded by stressing the importance of cross-ministerial cooperation: "It is important that all relevant ministries play their role in solving the problems of the IT and telecom sectors. If the problems of the IT and Telecom sector are solved, it can solve the economic problems of the country."
