Real reason for Prince William’s hatred towards Andrew Mountbatten revealed in latest tell-all book

A recently published royal biography posits that the enduring strained relationship between Prince William and his uncle, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, originates from a purportedly impolite remark Andrew is said to have made concerning Catherine, the Princess of Wales.

Within his work,The Rise and Fall of the Yorks, author Andrew Lownie asserts that the Prince of Wales wholeheartedly supported King Charles III's decree to remove Andrew's royal prerogatives following his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Drawing upon unnamed palace sources, Lownie suggests that William harbours deep disdain for both Andrew and his former spouse, Sarah Ferguson, indicating he would have taken even firmer action had he been monarch.

Furthermore, the book details William's alleged "fury" upon being unexpectedly captured in photographs alongside his uncle at the funeral for the Duchess of Kent, an event that reportedly frustrated his efforts to maintain a clear distance. The future sovereign supposedly feels his father's approach has been overly permissive, and that Andrew and Ferguson have "compromised the royal family's public perception."

While the specific nature of the purported comment about Kate remains unspecified, the biography frames it as a pivotal moment in William's dynamic with his uncle. These revelations emerge in the wake of King Charles formally revoking Andrew's remaining titles and honours, instructing him to vacate Royal Lodge and relocate to the Sandringham estate.

Andrew, aged 65, steadfastly refutes all accusations linking him to Epstein and has since consented to refrain from using his royal designations. His daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, will, however, retain their titles in accordance with established royal protocol.
