Telenor Pakistan Unveils WhatsApp-Powered SIM and Service Management for Enhanced Nationwide Connectivity

Telenor Pakistan has achieved a major stride in its digital transformation efforts by rolling out a new WhatsApp-enabled service for SIM purchases, replacements, and bundle subscriptions. This innovative offering is set to revolutionize the way customers manage their mobile connectivity.

Highlighting Telenor Pakistan's commitment to customer ease, this groundbreaking service provides a straightforward, secure, and entirely contactless method to acquire or manage a SIM. Customers can now purchase new SIMs, replace lost ones, and activate various bundles directly via WhatsApp, a widely used and trusted messaging application.

This comprehensive digital platform allows users to begin by messaging Telenor Pakistan on WhatsApp UAN: 051 111-345-100. From there, they can choose their city, desired mobile number, and preferred bundle. After submitting the necessary personal information and completing payment, the SIM will be delivered straight to their home. A secure and regulatory-compliant activation will involve biometric verification performed at the point of delivery. Such a seamless process establishes a fresh standard for customer interaction within the telecommunications sector.

“We are proud to be at the forefront of digital innovation,” said Waqas Amanullah, Chief Consumer Business Officer, Telenor Pakistan. “By enabling SIM purchases and bundle management through WhatsApp, we are putting the power of connectivity directly into our customers’ hands—making it easier, faster, and more accessible than ever. This initiative reflects our broader vision of promoting digital inclusion across Pakistan.”

Presently, the SIM purchase and replacement service is active in more than 20 cities, such as Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Multan, and Faisalabad, with future plans for broader deployment. Concurrently, the option to recharge bundles is available across the entire country. Tailored for both urban and semi-urban populations, this service ensures connectivity that is intuitive, convenient, and secure, thereby simplifying digital access for all.

This particular initiative signifies yet another accomplishment in Telenor Pakistan’s continuous endeavors to harness technology, making everyday life simpler, expanding digital reach, and providing outstanding customer experiences throughout the nation.
