The Xbox Full Screen Experience Now Available on All PCs, Laptops, and Tablets

Microsoft has announced a significant expansion for itsXbox Full Screen Experience (FSE), making this console-like interface available beyond dedicated PC handhelds. This feature, designed to offer a smoother, controller-friendly way to browse your game library on a PC, is now rolling out to a wider range of devices including laptops, desktops, and tablets. Until now, FSE was exclusively found on PC handhelds, having debuted with devices like the Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X.

Users keen to try out FSE on their non-handheld PCs can access it through the latest Windows Insider Preview Builds in both the Dev and Beta channels, or if they are members of the Xbox Insider Program. Activating FSE is straightforward: simply hover your mouse over the Task View icon on your taskbar and select "Xbox full screen experience." Alternatively, Microsoft notes you can enable it via the Game Bar's Settings menu or by using the keyboard shortcut Win + F11.

It's important to note that access may not be immediate, even for eligible Windows Insiders, as Microsoft is implementing a "gradual rollout" alongside these new builds. Additionally, the Xbox app, available from the Microsoft Store, is a prerequisite for utilizing this feature.

Furthermore, Microsoft confirmed that as of this past Friday, the FSE is also being deployed to all Windows-based handheld devices, broadening its reach even within that category.
